Puffin Rock Movie Premiere!
Its here!! We were storyboarding on Puffin Rock way back in 2019-2020 now the premiere is this weekend, with it finally hitting its streaming platform in July.
I’m really excited to see where its ended up and also to do a cheeky visit to Ireland again!
Corpse Talk nominated for RTS Award!
A massive congrats to the Corpse Talk team and Tiger Aspect for being nominated for an RTS Award in Children’s Programming! I’ll have everything crossed for you them!
Directed by the fantastic Olly Brown it was a pleasure to work on this short form series for YTO. Even to see it nominated for an award is exciting, whatever happens its a winner to me! I mean, Who doesn’t love a good interview with some friendly corpses?
Night Pip! At Annecy
It all begins with an idea.
A massive congrats to the Pip and Posy team at Blue Zoo. Night Pip! Is in the Annecy Film Festival’s selection and is one of the few eps I boarded on Pip and Posy, so its incredibly exciting to see its been put forward! annecy.org
It got me digging through my paper pile - Here’s some initial thumbnails I did to figure out lighting and mood in board for the ep. It’s always good in sequences that rely on light for storytelling to figure out how it will work straight from the get go. :)
I love doing thumbs / beats like these when there’s a chance. They’re a little cleaner than I would usually do but I really wanted to make the atmosphere and how the light affects the moments clear from the get go :)
Storyboarding is only one part of the process, so many different departments and people make an important mark on a series and its lovely to see their hardworking being recognised! Kudos to Team Pip and Posy!
